Brimheim
Pop / Indie Pop
With her unique alt-pop/rock sound, Danish/Faroese Brimheim, illuminates the stark contrasts within her own psyche: a precarious balancing act between delusions of grandeur and a bottomless insecurity. With deft lyrics, she explores despair and delusion, doubt and mania, person and persona. Throughout, runs an undercurrent of existentialism — but in true Brimheim fashion, the dark and murky places that’s are dabbled with stubborn hope.
Since releasing her EP, Myself Misspelled (2020) and debut album, can't hate myself into a different shape (2022), Brimheim has garnered praise from critics at home and abroad. She has won Four Faroese Music Awards, the Danish Carl Award as "Talent of the Year" in 2022, a nomination as "Hope of the Year" at the Danish Critics choice awards Steppeulven in 2021, Danish Radio "P3's inevitable" twice, and much more. Her success in Denmark is spilling over with performances at By:Larm, The Great Escape, Eurosonic, Reeperbahn Festival, Iceland Airwaves and KEXP.
