Carol Hodge is an existential-flavoured, seven-fingered, piano-pounding, Yorkshire-dwelling Singer-Songwriter. Think Linda Ronstadt meets St Vincent, but with fewer digits and a continuous existential crisis, sandwiched between bitter irony and relentless optimism. You won’t know whether to laugh or cry, but will definitely feel something. Lauded by Maximum Volume Music as "one of the most innovative solo artists around right now", Carol also tours the planet as keyboardist/backing vocalist with Rock legends The Wildhearts and Anarchopunk royalty Steve Ignorant (Crass).   Since 2022, Carol has toured the UK relentlessly, clocking up over 250 gigs. She has supported the likes of TV Smith, Bar Stool Preachers, Marc Valentine, Headsticks and Jess Silk, and played Rebellion, Glastonwick and Settle Down festivals. Carol's fifth studio album EffortLess InSecurity was released in January 2025. It features highly confessional and relatable lyricism, covering topics such as Neurodiversity, Insecure Attachment, Self doubt/Self worth, and Autistic Spectrum Masking.
