Connor Peyton
Country / Country
Connor Peyton writes songs dissecting the American Experience. From ballads steeped in drugs and divorce to irreverent tunes chronicling plane crashes in the Alaskan wilderness, nothing is left untouched. God is often damned, humanity often criticized, and his salvation often deemed unlikely. With parents splitting the radio between Tom Petty and AC/DC, he found his own influences in the recent rise of Americana acts, such as: Jason Isbell, Tyler Childers, and The Turnpike Troubadours. With a penchant for visual lyricism and driving electric guitar he developed his songwriting during his final years of college at Montana State University. The harsh winters and rustic lifestyle wove themselves onto the canvas. The Laurel Canyon tone was met with the subzero climate of the American West, and a guy doing his best to imitate the crooners of Appalachian country found his own sound.
