 Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Lebanese and Spanish parents, Cecilia Villar Eljuri is a leading artivist living in NYC who tours internationally sharing her music and message of empowerment. In addition to being a great singer and songwriter, she is touted as one of the top Latinx guitar players in the world. Eljuri navigates through the rhythmic landscapes of her heritage; rock and pop-punk, bolero, reggae, and Afro-Cuban, all presented with an elegant and socially conscious voice. Her personal guitar style is influenced by the likes of greats including Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Carlos Santana, Nancy Wilson, BB King and Bonnie Raitt. 
To date Eljuri has released five critically acclaimed solo albums: “En Paz” (2008), “Fuerte” (2012), “La Lucha” (2016) and “Resiste” (2019). Her fifth studio album “Reflexión” was released September 30, 2022.
