Múr

Múr's music chronicles the interior world of her generation. The place between the bitter-sweet and the hopeful. Her songs are introspective and laden with metaphor, her stories wrapped in nostalgia and delivered like a fond memory from a collective past. She sings in both English and Latvian and plays with the confines and freedoms of language and melody. Múr’s debut album Under Allure was nominated for Debut of the Year at Latvian Music Awards 2018, and her most recent EP Disbalanss was nominated for Pop Record of the Year 2024. Disbalanss is the epitome of sentiment in Múr's native Latvian, and marks her album debut as a producer and mixing engineer. Written and recorded in London, other producers on the record include Daniel Guillermo Sauceda (US) and Ohmri Young (UK). Múr is a project by Madara Murnikova.
