New Normal

Formerly known as Us., Alex Maurer and Dave Kaminski have both been unknowingly members of New Normal since they began writing songs together at 10 years old. Alex, a classically trained guitarist, and Dave (aka Spoove) an innovative producer, create fresh and off-center music that can only come from lifelong friends. Combining elements of pop, alternative and LoFi, New Normal launched their first single “Nightmares” a dreamy LoFi ballad, in March 2020. Their newest single "Cotton Candy" is influenced by the warehouse sounds of Alex's time in the UK and the acoustic folk space of Spoove's time in the outdoors of Michigan. Promising to give a danceable yet introspective sound.
