Monterey-based Sensory TRiBE delivers a vibrant mix of reggae, soul, and dance rhythms, creating a unique and uplifting musical experience. The band formed officially in 2016, evolving from joyful jam sessions into a cohesive group that celebrates diverse musical styles. Their energetic live performances have earned them spots at various prominent events, including the UCSC Fall Harvest Festival, the Catalyst and Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz, the Monterey County Fairgrounds, and First Night Monterey. They've also performed repeatedly at the West End Celebration and Night Market 831 in Sand City. Sensory TRiBE's lineup includes Gerardo “El Kallpa” Olivares (vocals/percussion), Righteous Sistah (vocals/melodica), Sweesly Maak (vocals/keys), Rebekah Cordell (saxophone), Evelyn Nieto (trombone), Izzy Romero (drums), and Glenn Bell (bass). Their music embodies an expansive cultural perspective, characterized by its feel-good vibes and lyrical depth with a thoughtful message. In 2018, the band released their debut album, Who We Are, showcasing their signature fusion of genres and creative versatility. Their live shows and studio recordings reflect a commitment to connecting with audiences through authentic and dynamic performances.
