Sepia

Imagine an artist whose every song is unique and stands strong, yet at the same time is merely a foundation of the whole. A rollercoaster with twists and turns in emotion, style and intensity. Nick, the composer of Sepia, uses audible calligraphy to write a diary in the form of soundwaves emanating from a wide range of instrumentation and vocals. This progressive sound is new; yet recognizable, raw; yet sweet, energetic; yet timid, simplistic; yet refined. It appeals to the imagination, making every song feel like a new story every time. Although the main sound has a rock-like touch, Sepia mixes genres together. Pop-rock, classical and dance in one song; why not? One song is heavy doom and gloom with powerful guitars; the other song is guitar-free, light and jazzy; No problem. With Sepia all is possible without it becoming too much of a mess. Why? Because music styles are not approached as opposites of each other, but as complements to one another. When Nick had the opportunity to bring a self-written song to life with his former band while performing in pubs, concert halls and theaters, he knew one thing: “I have to release self-composed music.” Nick immediately went into the studio, the same studio where he and his former band produced an EP, and started to record some songs. An idea arose to write a full-length release; supported by two singles. Those two singles were recently released; Sepia is born!
