Sworn, originating in Bergen, Norway, embodies melodic black metal. Starting as a one-person project in 2005, they evolved into a full-fledged band, crafting a sound infused with '90s black metal and extreme metal influences. Their debut album, "The Alleviation," reflected their early aspirations. Sharing stages with Behemoth, Aborted, and others during their 2007 Germany tour, Sworn's prowess shone. They embraced festivals like Summer Breeze, Ultima Ratio, and Ragnarok before releasing their second album, "Bastards and Conquerors." A hiatus from 2011 to 2016 led to the unexpected "Doomlights" EP and a triumphant return with "Dark Stars and Eternity" in 2018. Though the pandemic halted live shows, Sworn's creativity thrived. "A Journey told through Fire" (2023) delved into darker musical realms, gaining acclaim for its raw emotion and dedication.
